REQUIRED OREGON ONE-TIME FLEET REPORT DUE JUNE 2022

June 30, 2022 is the deadline for Oregon’s One-Time fleet reporting requirement.

If you have a fleet in Oregon, be aware of Oregon’s “One-Time Fleet Reporting Requirement”. You must complete the reporting form by June 30th, 2022.

The one-time reporting requirement is required of Oregon fleets and businesses that operate or direct the movement of on-road trucks, buses, and delivery vans in Oregon with vehicles of a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) greater than 8,500 lbs.

One-Time Fleet Report Is Tied To Oregon’s Clean Trucks Rule

The one-time fleet reporting requirement is part of Oregon’s Clean Trucks Rule. The Oregon Clean Trucks Rule was adopted in November 2021 and is designed to lower emissions by encouraging manufacturers to sell lower emissions fleet trucks and vans. With data collected from fleets in these reports, Oregon DEQ will be able to create more appropriate policies and recommendations in the future to encourage lowering emissions.

You are required to file this one-time fleet report if you meet the following; your fleet, municipality, government agency, or broker business operates on-road vehicles over 8,500 lbs. GVWR, and if in 2021 you operated in Oregon and meet any of the following criteria:

• Had gross annual revenues greater than $50 million in the U.S. for the 2021 tax year, including revenues from all subsidiaries, subdivisions, or branches, and had one or more vehicles under common ownership or control that were operated in Oregon in 2021,
• Any fleet owner in the 2021 calendar year that had five or more vehicles under common ownership or control,
• Any broker or entity that dispatched five or more vehicles into or throughout Oregon in the 2021 calendar year,
• Any Oregon government agency, including all state and local municipalities, that had five or more vehicles that were operated in Oregon in 2021,
• Any federal government agency that had five or more vehicles that were operated in Oregon in 2021.

The One-Time Fleet Reporting Form Due Date

Fleets must submit their reporting form by June 30, 2022. The form is an Excel document with three sheets of in-depth reporting information.
